The Digital Archive of NLPI
NLPI has established a digital archives platform that integrates valuable collections such as historical newspapers, ancient documents, Japanese-language publications from the Japanese colonial period, and local cultural records. The platform provides convenient online access for searching and utilizing these important resources.
Picture Books of NLPI
This database houses more than 1,400 picture book titles, including award-winning works, publications that reflect local cultural characteristics, and creative works by students. The platform offers a variety of reading and interactive features, including text-hiding, audio narration, and Hanyu Pinyin support. Users can switch between different shared reading modes based on their needs. With integrated reading level classifications and teaching resources, it is well suited for both classroom use and parent-child reading.
Digital Art Design Gallery
Developed independently by NLPI, this platform is the first in Taiwan to serve as a thematic digital repository dedicated to outstanding works from university and college design programs. The platform showcases a wide range of design disciplines, including visual communication design, product and industrial design, digital multimedia design, architecture and interior design, as well as crafts and fine arts. It highlights the diversity, creativity, and vitality of Taiwan’s emerging generation of designers.
Video On Demand – NLPI Media Center
The platform offers over 5,000 audiovisual resources across 13 categories, including lectures and curated programs, available for online viewing anytime.
E-Resources System
Our E-Resources System offers nearly 100 online resources, making learning easy anytime, anywhere.
E-Book Online Service
The library offers a diverse collection of e-books, currently exceeding 50,000 titles and 460,000 volumes in multiple languages, including Chinese and English. Readers can access these resources online anytime, free of charge.
This service is compatible with computers, laptops, and mobile devices (iOS and Android) through the iLib Reader app, providing a 24/7 uninterrupted reading environment. With an internet connection, users can easily enter the digital knowledge platform and start reading instantly.
Media and Information Literacy
With the goal of enhancing information literacy and ensuring equitable access to information, NLPI continues to promote information education and outreach services. Through courses, workshops, and public programs, it helps users develop essential skills, from understanding copyright and digital ethics to evaluating and verifying online information. These efforts aim to strengthen the ability to use information responsibly and to identify misinformation in the digital age.
iTeaching (Online Thematic Courses)
The platform also offers online thematic courses, creating a flexible learning environment for secondary school students and adults. NLPI collaborates with domestic experts and industry professionals to deliver courses across a wide range of fields, including education, personal development, financial literacy, technical skills, emerging technologies, language learning, and project-based research. Complex knowledge is transformed into accessible, theme-based content, supported by the library’s extensive e-book collections and digital databases. Video playback services are also available, allowing digital resources to become a reliable companion for self-directed learning and personal growth.
